PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Kindergarten Teaching Program in Nacpan Village, El Nido, supports children aged 3-5 as they prepare for formal education. You play an essential role in helping young learners develop foundational skills by teaching basic English through fun and interactive activities like songs, dances, games, and storytelling. Lessons focus on numbers, colours, shapes, the alphabet, and basic writing.

In addition to teaching, you will also assist local staff with daily routines and childcare, ensuring a well-rounded learning environment. This program is vital in improving the children’s English language skills, boosting their confidence, and setting a strong foundation for their future education.

It also provides you with a meaningful opportunity to engage with the community and make a lasting impact.

What Will I Actually Be Doing?
  • Teach English, Math, and Science in informal and interactive ways.
  • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
  • Organize and facilitate engaging learning activities such as songs, dances, and sports.
  • Collaborate with local teachers to organize lessons and assessments.
  • Actively engage in cultural exchanges by sharing personal experiences and learning about local customs.
Is This Ethical and Legitimate?

This program works directly with the community and supports local teachers by providing additional support to the children.

The program focuses on sustainable cultural exchange, helping children gain practical language skills while allowing volunteers to learn about local culture and education in the Philippines.
