Where does the tour start and finish?
The tour starts and ends in Airlie Beach. You need to make your own way to Airlie Beach. The closest airport is Whitsunday Coast Airport in Proserpine (PPP Airport)
What do I need to bring?
Small soft bag only (no hard cases or wheels) Swimwear & beach towel Sun protection: hat, sunglasses & sunscreen Light tropical clothing (warmer layer in winter) Shoes suitable for a short bushwalk Reusable water bottle Toiletries Underwater camera White outfit for the beach party BYO alcohol (no glass or red wine) Large luggage can be securely stored in Airlie Beach for a small fee.
What diets are catered for?
This tour caters for Vegetarians and customers who might be Gluten Free or Lactose free. Please advise any special food allergies, gluten free diet or dietary requirements when booking. We do recommend that you bring snacks on day 1 of the tour as we do not provide breakfast on day 1.
Is the boat air conditioned?
Yes. All cabins are fitted with air conditioning for your comfort. New Horizon is one of the few vessels in the Whitsundays to offer this feature, making a big difference during the warmer months.
Can we go scuba diving while on new horizon?
Absolutely. Scuba diving can be added to your trip for an additional $99. We visit some of the best dive sites in the Whitsundays and offer both introductory and certified dives. A qualified dive instructor is onboard for every tour. Be sure to select scuba diving as an add-on when booking your sailing adventure.
Are all meals included on the tour?
Yes. All meals are included, along with morning tea, afternoon snacks, and tea and coffee. Our onboard menu is designed to cater to all guests, and special dietary requirements can be accommodated when advised at the time of booking.
Can we bring alcohol onboard?
Yes. New Horizon operates a BYO alcohol policy. Each passenger may bring up to 40 standard drinks per person (equivalent to 30 cans of beer, 4 litres of wine, or 1.5 litres of spirits). For safety and cleaning reasons, glass bottles and red wine are not permitted onboard.

How many other passengers will be onboard?
New Horizon accommodates up to 32 passengers. The vessel is 21 metres long and features three sectioned cabins with a mix of single and double beds.
Where does the new horizon tour depart from?
The overnight sailing tour departs from the southern end of Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach. Departures operate on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, usually at around 1.30pm, depending on tidal conditions. Your exact departure time will be confirmed when you check in.
Can I book additional nights?
Yes of course! With our packages, you are always welcome to book any additional pre or post-tour accommodation. Just get in touch with our friendly team to organise these.
