Where does the tour start and finish?
The 9 Day New Zealand South Island Adventure tour starts in Christchurch and ends in Queenstown.
Who will I be travelling with?
You’ll be travelling with a group of 18-35 year olds from all over the world, this is a fully guided tour.
Where will I be staying?
You’ll be staying in mixed dorm rooms throughout your New Zealand Group tour in 4-6 bed accommodation.
Can you help me organise flights & insurance?
They recommend Skyscanner.com for flight comparisons, and offer a recommended travel insurance provider.
What is the currency and will I need cash?
The currency is the New Zealand Dollar; card is widely accepted. $1 NZD ≈ £0.45 GBP, €0.52 EUR or $0.92 AUD.
Are there meals included?
Mostly no, though some hostels and activities include meals. Budget around $100 NZD per day for food, drink and activities.
Do I need a visa to travel to New Zealand?
Most nations don’t require an official visa, though some do. UK/European travellers need an NZETA (approx $50 NZD), granting 3-6 months access without working rights.
What if I have dietary requirements?
Include dietary requirements when booking. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available for included meals.
Can I book optional activities?

Is there free time on this tour?
The tour is fast paced and energetic with a key activity at every stop; the Group Leader will tell you when there’s free time.
Will I need ID & what is the legal drinking age?
Legal drinking age in NZ is 18. ID is required (passport, as international driving licenses aren’t usually accepted).
What if I am travelling with someone else?
Book together and the supplier will do their best to place you together, or book separately and let them know beforehand.
How many people will be on my tour?
Group sizes vary but can be up to 18 backpackers.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes, comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, personal injury and medical expenses is mandatory. You should book it at the time of booking your trip.
How do I book?
