Good to Know | FAQs
Where does the trip start and finish?
The trip departs from Cairns — complimentary Cairns City transfers are included. You’ll board your vessel and cruise out to the Outer Great Barrier Reef, returning to Cairns at the end of the trip.
How many dives are included?
The trip includes up to 11 dives, with 9 daytime dives and 2 unforgettable night dives. If you’d rather stay on the surface, you can snorkel at a variety of incredible Outer Great Barrier Reef sites.
Do I need to be a certified diver?
Yes. Divers must provide proof of a recognised certification equivalent to PADI Open Water Diver or higher. If you’re not certified, you can still join the trip as a snorkeller, or click here to speak to our team to learn to dive with us!
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes! Fresh buffet-style meals are served throughout your trip, and a range of dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice. If you’re gluten intolerant or vegan, it’s recommended to bring along a few snacks that don’t require refrigeration.
What should I bring?
Pack an overnight bag with comfortable clothes, swimwear, a towel, toiletries, sunscreen, a hat, and your dive certification card (if diving). Don’t forget your sense of adventure!

When is the best time to visit the Great Barrier Reef?
The reef is a year-round destination with warm water all year. Visibility is often at its best during the drier months, roughly June to October.
