WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TOUR EUROPE?

Our Europe group tours run from March to October. Late spring (May–June) and early autumn (September) are the sweet spot: warm days, fewer crowds and better prices. July and August are peak summer – hot, busy and buzzing, with the best nightlife and beach weather on the Riviera and in Barcelona. March and October departures are cooler but quieter, and perfect if you’d rather see the sights without the summer queues.

A Europe group tour is a pre-planned trip where you travel with a small group and a Group Leader, with your transport, accommodation and key activities organised for you. ULTIMATE Travel’s Europe group tours travel by train, stay in central hostels and are designed for travellers aged 18–35.

Our Europe group tours start from $2,899 AUD for 2 weeks (Central or Western Europe Adventure) and $5,699 AUD for the 4-week Europe Adventure. That includes accommodation, a Group Leader, all trains and seat reservations and included activities. Budget extra for flights from Australia, travel insurance, food and optional activities.

Two weeks is enough to see six major cities in one region – Central Europe (Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Venice) or Western Europe (Venice, Rome, Florence, Nice, Barcelona, Paris). Four weeks lets you do both on our Europe Adventure, covering 12 cities without rushing.

We stay at some of the most popular hostels along the Australian East Coast. All prices are based on shared accommodation in 4 – 12 share dorm style rooms.

Twin and private room upgrades are available to book but are subject to availability and single supplement charges. Note: Twin and Private room upgrades are not available on the Whitsundays, Fraser Island or overnight buses. Twin and Single room upgrades may still have shared bathroom facilities.

If it’s your first time, the 4-week Europe Adventure is the ultimate introduction – you’ll see the big names from London to Paris. If you only have two weeks, choose Central Europe for history and nightlife, or Western Europe for food, beaches and iconic landmarks like the Colosseum and Eiffel Tower.

Yes – most of our travellers join solo. You’ll share dorms, do activities together and meet your group in a WhatsApp chat before departure, so it’s easy to make friends from day one.

Our Europe tours are designed for young travellers. The Central and Western Europe Adventures are for ages 18–30, and the 4-week Europe Adventure is for ages 18–35.

By train. Every tour includes any Interrail or Eurail passes you need, all possible seat reservations, and the Eurostar between London and mainland Europe where it’s on your route. One leg (Florence to Nice) is by bus, and there’s an overnight train from Vienna to Venice.

You’ll stay in top-rated, centrally located hostels in shared, mixed-gender dorms – chosen for location, cleanliness and atmosphere, so you’re always close to the action.

No. You’ll book your own flights into your starting city (London or Venice) and home from your finishing city. We recommend arriving at least a day early and can arrange extra nights for you.

Every tour includes Travel Disruption Protection. If a strike or similar disruption affects your trip, your Group Leader arranges alternative transport at no extra cost.
