    SMALL GROUP TOURS

ULTIMATE Travel’s Europe group tours are fully guided, small-group rail adventures for travellers aged 18–35. Choose a 2-week Central Europe Adventure (London to Venice), a 2-week Western Europe Adventure (Venice to London), or do the lot on our 4-week Europe Adventure, taking in 12 cities from Amsterdam to Paris. Every tour includes centrally located hostels, a Group Leader, all trains and seat reservations, and hand-picked experiences in every city, from $2,899 AUD.

Planning Europe yourself means juggling trains, hostels, bookings and budgets. We’ve done all of that for you. You just turn up in London or Venice, meet your crew, and spend your time actually enjoying Europe – canal cruises in Amsterdam, beers in Prague, thermal baths in Budapest, gondolas in Venice, wine in Tuscany and sunset over the Seine. Based in Sydney, we’ve been helping young Aussies travel the world for years, and we’ll look after you from the moment you book until you’re home.

WHY BOOK A EUROPE GROUP TOUR WITH US?
  • Everything’s sorted. Trains, Interrail passes, seat reservations, hostels and activities are all booked before you land – no queues, no stress, no surprise costs.
  • An epic Group Leader. Your leader travels with you the whole way, handles check-ins and tickets, and knows the best local spots.
  • Real time in every city. 2–4 nights in most stops, so you actually get to explore instead of watching Europe through a bus window.
  • Travel by train, not coach. See Europe the way it’s meant to be seen – including the Eurostar and an overnight train through the Alps.
  • Made for solo travellers. Most of our travellers join solo. You’ll meet your group in a WhatsApp chat before you go, so you’ll have mates before you even land.
  • Travel Disruption Protection. If there’s a strike or transport disruption, alternative travel is arranged and included at no extra cost.
  • Aussie support. We’re based in Sydney, speak your language (and time zone) and can help with pre-tour nights, flight advice and extensions.
WHAT’S INCLUDED ON EVERY EUROPE TOUR
  • Top-rated, centrally located hostels (shared, mixed-gender dorms)
  • A Group Leader throughout your tour

  • Any Interrail or Eurail passes required, plus all possible seat reservations
  • Travel Disruption Protection
  • Signature included experiences in every city
  • Pre-departure WhatsApp group to meet your crew

  4. Join the WhatsApp group and meet your fellow travellers before you go.
  5. Turn up and enjoy Europe – your Group Leader takes it from there.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TOUR EUROPE?

Our Europe group tours run from March to October. Late spring (May–June) and early autumn (September) are the sweet spot: warm days, fewer crowds and better prices. July and August are peak summer – hot, busy and buzzing, with the best nightlife and beach weather on the Riviera and in Barcelona. March and October departures are cooler but quieter, and perfect if you’d rather see the sights without the summer queues.

TRIP FAQS

A Europe group tour is a pre-planned trip where you travel with a small group and a Group Leader, with your transport, accommodation and key activities organised for you. ULTIMATE Travel’s Europe group tours travel by train, stay in central hostels and are designed for travellers aged 18–35.

Our Europe group tours start from $2,899 AUD for 2 weeks (Central or Western Europe Adventure) and $5,699 AUD for the 4-week Europe Adventure. That includes accommodation, a Group Leader, all trains and seat reservations and included activities. Budget extra for flights from Australia, travel insurance, food and optional activities.

Two weeks is enough to see six major cities in one region – Central Europe (Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Venice) or Western Europe (Venice, Rome, Florence, Nice, Barcelona, Paris). Four weeks lets you do both on our Europe Adventure, covering 12 cities without rushing.

We stay at some of the most popular hostels along the Australian East Coast. All prices are based on shared accommodation in 4 – 12 share dorm style rooms.

Twin and private room upgrades are available to book but are subject to availability and single supplement charges. Note: Twin and Private room upgrades are not available on the Whitsundays, Fraser Island or overnight buses. Twin and Single room upgrades may still have shared bathroom facilities.

If it’s your first time, the 4-week Europe Adventure is the ultimate introduction – you’ll see the big names from London to Paris. If you only have two weeks, choose Central Europe for history and nightlife, or Western Europe for food, beaches and iconic landmarks like the Colosseum and Eiffel Tower.

Yes – most of our travellers join solo. You’ll share dorms, do activities together and meet your group in a WhatsApp chat before departure, so it’s easy to make friends from day one.

Our Europe tours are designed for young travellers. The Central and Western Europe Adventures are for ages 18–30, and the 4-week Europe Adventure is for ages 18–35.

By train. Every tour includes any Interrail or Eurail passes you need, all possible seat reservations, and the Eurostar between London and mainland Europe where it’s on your route. One leg (Florence to Nice) is by bus, and there’s an overnight train from Vienna to Venice.

You’ll stay in top-rated, centrally located hostels in shared, mixed-gender dorms – chosen for location, cleanliness and atmosphere, so you’re always close to the action.

No. You’ll book your own flights into your starting city (London or Venice) and home from your finishing city. We recommend arriving at least a day early and can arrange extra nights for you.

Every tour includes Travel Disruption Protection. If a strike or similar disruption affects your trip, your Group Leader arranges alternative transport at no extra cost.

Choose your tour and departure date on the tour page and pay a deposit to secure your spot. Your balance is due 60 days before departure. Travel insurance is compulsory. Questions? Request more info and one of our Sydney-based travel experts will get back to you.
