WHERE DOES THE PROGRAM START AND FINISH?
Fly into SAI (Siem Reap) International Airport. From the airport, a representative will meet you to help organise your shuttle to town where the program coordinator will pick you up and take you to your accommodation, making your first day stress-free and easy after landing.
Arrive on Sunday between 06:00 - 20:00.
Our transfer man/woman will meet you at the the Airport Entrance/meeting point upon your arrival and will hold a sign that reads “TGL”.
You will then be taken to our TGL Accommodation. This is where your program will start and finish. Whilst on your program you can arrange onwards travel with us.
DO I NEED CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE TO JOIN THIS PROGRAM?
No experience is required. Volunteers assist with coaching under the guidance of local coordinators and community teams.
WHO WILL I BE TRAVELLING WITH?
Whether you’re travelling solo or with a mate, you’ll meet like-minded travellers from all over the world. Group sizes vary with each program.
HOW MANY HOURS PER DAY DO VOLUNTEERS WORK?
Volunteers usually work around 4–5 hours per day from Monday to Friday.
DO I NEED A VISA?
Yes, a visa is required to enter Cambodia. Before travelling, please ensure you obtain the correct visa for your program. Many nationalities are eligible to apply for an e-Visa online or obtain a Visa on Arrival. We recommend checking the latest entry requirements based on your nationality before you travel and ensuring your visa is arranged prior to departure where required.
WHAT AIRPORT DO I FLY IN AND OUT OF?
SAI (Siem Reap International Airport)
Before your arrival you will be sent information about your arrival pick up.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
- Comfortable walking shoes, sandals
- Modest clothing (covers knees and shoulders)
- Sun hat, fleece sweater, windproof rain jacket (depending on weather)
- Small day pack
- Reusable water bottle
- Passport and print off all visa, insurance and vaccinations
- Toiletries (insect repellent and sunscreen!)
CAN I VOLUNTEER WITH A DIETARY REQUIREMENT?
Yes! We do our best to cater to dietary requirements. Make sure at the time of booking you tell us any dietary requirements so we can be prepared.
WHERE WILL I BE STAYING DURING THE PROGRAM?
Participants stay in a shared volunteer guesthouse with other international volunteers.
ARE MEALS INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM?
Yes. Three meals are provided on weekdays and two meals per day on weekends.
CAN I EXPLORE SIEM REAP DURING MY FREE TIME?
Yes! Siem Reap is easy to explore in your free time, with most attractions just a short bike ride away. You can visit the famous Angkor Wat temples, browse the Night Markets and Pub Street, watch the incredible Phare Circus, explore floating villages and waterfalls, or immerse yourself in the local culture by sampling traditional Cambodian cuisine.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO JOIN?
Most participants are 18+, however younger volunteers may be accepted with parental consent.
HOW LONG CAN I VOLUNTEER FOR?
The program runs in weekly blocks, and volunteers can stay for multiple weeks depending on availability.
