This Coaching Volunteer Program includes an airport pick up on Sundays from BKK (Suvarnabhumi International Airport).
To join the program as scheduled, you should arrive on Sunday between 06:00 and 16:00 so you can catch the included transfer from the airport to Hua Hin. If you arrive on Saturday, you will need to book one additional night of accommodation before the program begins.
Please make sure you provide your arrival date, flight number and arrival time in advance so we can organise your airport transfer and prepare for your arrival.
Your volunteer program officially starts on Monday, however your accommodation begins from Sunday so you can settle in, meet fellow volunteers and get ready for the week ahead.
Sunday Arrival
Arrive into Hua Hin and meet your transfer as part of the scheduled Sunday airport pick up service. Once you arrive at the accommodation, you can settle into your room, meet the local team and relax after your journey. This is a good chance to get familiar with the guesthouse, the local surroundings and the other volunteers joining the program.
Monday Orientation and Introduction
Your first full day begins with an introduction meeting where you will go through house rules, important expectations, health and safety guidance and practical information for your stay. The local team will also explain how to look after your important documents and settle into the accommodation comfortably.
You will then be introduced to Thai culture through Do’s and Don’ts, local customs and basic Thai language lessons to help you feel more confident and respectful in your new environment.
During the day, you will take a guided tour around the compound and local area so you know where to find nearby shops and essentials. If needed, the team can also assist you with arranging a local SIM card.
Tuesday to Friday Volunteer Work
In the afternoon, you'll work alongside your coordinator and other volunteers to prepare fun and engaging sports sessions, planning activities and games that are suitable for the children's ages and abilities. Once everything is ready, you'll head to the local community field for the day's coaching session.
From late afternoon, you'll lead a variety of sports including football, volleyball, basketball, and tennis, helping local children develop new skills while encouraging teamwork, confidence, discipline, and respect. Alongside coaching, you'll also promote healthy lifestyles by incorporating simple lessons on fitness, well-being, and the importance of staying active.
Every session is designed to be enjoyable, inclusive, and rewarding, giving every child the opportunity to participate, learn, and grow. As you build friendships with the children, local coaches, and fellow volunteers, you'll experience a genuine cultural exchange while making a positive impact on the local community. After coaching, you'll return to the volunteer centre for dinner and a relaxing evening with the group.
