From white sand to red sand, our Epic Australia Adventure Tour brings together the very best of Australia in one unforgettable journey. You’ll start with our famous 3-week East Coast Highlights tour, exploring iconic beaches, vibrant coastal towns and natural wonders from Sydney to Cairns. Along the way, you’ll experience Australia’s must-do highlights — K’gari (Fraser Island), the Whitsundays, the Great Barrier Reef, Byron Bay and more — combining epic scenery, included adventures and an unbeatable group travel vibe.
The adventure doesn’t stop there. After the East Coast, an included domestic flight takes you inland to Alice Springs, where the scenery shifts from turquoise ocean to vast desert landscapes. You’ll then join a new group and guide for a 3-day Uluru Outback Camping Adventure, exploring the spiritual heart of Australia, learning about ancient Indigenous culture and camping under the stars. This fast-paced tour is perfect for travellers who want to see it all — coast, reef and Outback — without missing a thing.

Where does the tour start and finish?
The Epic Australian Adventure Tour starts in Sydney and ends in Uluru. You will travel the East Coast from Sydney to Cairns before flying (flight included) from Cairns to Alice Springs.
We recommend booking a flight or bus out of Alice Springs a day after the tour ends, if you need help planning your next adventure and accommodation, get in touch!
Who will I be travelling with?
You’ll be travelling with a group of 18-30-somethings from all over the world, and a fully licensed group leader available throughout the duration of the tour.
Group sizes vary but you can generally expect to travel with a group of approximately 10-20 people.
In the Outback portion of the tour you will also have an experienced tour guide and driver.
Where will we be staying?
The Epic Australian Adventure tour includes 24 nights accommodation. The accommodation is a mixture of shared Hostel Accommodation, Camping in National Parks and Overnight Buses.
You’ll be staying in a beachfront hostels and resort-style flashpacker accommodation. You’ll also spend 2 nights sailing around the Whitsunday Islands, 2 nights camping on K’gari and a 2 night camping trip under the stars in the Australian Outback.
Accommodation is based on 4-10 bed shared dorm arrangements. Upgrades to private rooms are available, and subject to availability.
How do we travel from Cairns to the Outback?
On Day 22 of the itinerary, you will travel from Cairns to Alice Springs via an internal flight which will be confirmed to you on Day 1 of the tour in Sydney. Weight restrictions apply on a standard Economy class ticket. Your luggage is restricted to 20Kg weight limit plus 7Kg Carry on Bag.
How much spending money do I need?
On our Group Tours, your transport and accommodation along with the meals and activities listed on the itinerary are all included in your tour price. While you are travelling you may wish to participate in additional activities which you will need to budget for. While travelling you may wish to eat and drink out or you may plan to cook and prepare some of your own meals.
As a guide, we recommend you budget an additional $40 – $60AUD per day for spending money. Please note that all travellers are different and you may wish to travel with additional spending money. There are amazing optional activities and food options on offer on the East Coast and if you desire to experience most of them, you may wish to budget for additional spending money.
Can I book extra nights before the trip? I’m arriving early!
Of course! You can pre-book extra nights in Sydney if you’re arriving early, and also extend your stay. You can add them onto your booking, or just get in contact with us! Optional activities are available to add on in country if you are interested in exploring more areas around Sydney!
Can I book extra nights accommodation before or after the tour?
If you need additional nights before or after your trip, just add them to your booking when you checkout. Not sure if you need extra nights? Get in touch to chat with a member of the crew before or after you book.
Additional nights are also available to book in Melbourne, Sydney or Cairns at the end of the tours (we recommend booking your flight out of Alice Springs a day after the tour ends).
What is an orientation walk?
We include an Orientation Walk at most stops of our itinerary. It is a short and guided walk with your group leader when you arrive at a new destination. It’s designed to help you get your bearings, understand the layout of the area, and learn where everything is. We’ll show you key landmarks, main streets, transport points, and local hangouts. You’ll also get insider tips on food, nightlife, activities, and the best ways to spend your free time. Our Orientation Walks are not formal, history heavy tours. While we’ll share some fun facts and local insights, the focus is on helping you experience the destination rather than providing an in depth historical guide. Most Orientation Walks take around 10 to 30 minutes depending on the destination. Orientation Walks are included in most itinerary stops where it adds value and helps you get familiar with the destination.
Are the any extra fees?
We have done our best to include all fee’s and charges but there are some key touring components that are required to be paid on arrival whilst on tour.
Great Barrier Reef Conservation Levy ($20 AUD) Paid direct on arrival
Excess Luggage Fee’s on Internal Flight (20kg permitted + 7kg Carry on)
Optional Activity Levies – Whilst on tour, various local activity operators may charge a levy that is to be paid direct on the day your activity takes place. These will be communicated to you when booking any optional activities. A local ‘levy’ is generally a tax or administration fee.
Are the any luggage weight limitations or restrictions?
Yes.
On this Australian Adventure Tour Epic package, each guest is restricted to 20Kg of Luggage and 1 x Carry on piece of 7Kg.
