This is a social small-group Thailand tour using shared accommodation. Most stays are in multi-share dorm rooms, with limited twin or private upgrades available on request.
Most travellers join this tour on their own. Groups are mixed-gender and typically made up of travellers from a wide range of countries.
The itinerary is designed for travellers aged 18–35 and combines key highlights with downtime, giving you freedom alongside structured experiences.
Some evenings are more social, while others are low-key. There’s no expectation to party or sit things out – how you spend your time is completely up to you.
Vegetarian food is easy to find throughout Thailand. Vegan and other specific dietary needs can be more limited in certain areas and may involve simpler meal options.
We strongly recommend travelling with a backpack or soft luggage, as the trip includes ferries, boats, internal flights and multiple accommodation changes.
Weather conditions in Thailand can affect ferry schedules and sea-based activities. If changes are needed, your Group Leader will handle adjustments and keep the group informed.
This itinerary does not revolve around Full Moon Party dates, and tour departures may not line up with Full Moon Party nights.
Optional experiences may be available during free time and can be organised locally with your Group Leader, depending on availability and conditions.
Onward travel at the end of the tour is not included. Transport and next-step travel can be arranged via the booking system or with your Group Leader during the trip.

We’ll organise your airport transfer so your arrival into Bangkok is smooth and stress-free.

Airport pickup is available from Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Bangkok).

The Ultimate Thailand group tour starts in Bangkok on Day 1 at 5:00pm. We recommend arriving into Thailand on Day 1 or earlier. You can add pre-tour nights when booking online, or chat with our Ultimate team if you’d like help arranging extra nights.

Before your Thailand group tour, please ensure you have appropriate travel insurance and the correct visa to enter Thailand. You must provide your arrival date, time and flight number so we can organise your airport transfer.

To book this Thailand group tour, simply select your preferred departure date and choose any add-ons you’d like at checkout, such as additional nights or a private room upgrade (subject to availability).

If you’re not ready to pay in full, you can secure your place with a $300 deposit. The remaining balance is due 45 days prior to your trip.

DEPARTING FROM KRABI

Krabi is a great jumping-off point for the rest of Thailand and Southeast Asia. Krabi International Airport (KBV) offers regular domestic flights to Bangkok and connections onward across the region.

If you’re continuing your travels by sea, ferries and speedboats run frequently from Krabi and Ao Nang to destinations including Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta and Phuket. Your Group Leader can help point you in the right direction and assist with local arrangements during the tour.

We recommend allowing extra buffer time when planning onward flights or ferry connections, as weather and sea conditions can affect schedules.

Where does the tour start and finish?

Begins in Bangkok on Day 1 and ends in Krabi on Day 8. Krabi is a hub for onward travel via flights, ferries or overland routes.

Who will I be travelling with?

Like-minded travellers from all over the world; group sizes stay manageable, with no more than 30 travellers per departure.

Do I need vaccinations?

Consult your GP. Hepatitis A is strongly recommended, rabies pre-exposure is optional, and bug spray is advised. Arrange vaccines 4-6 weeks ahead.

Can I book extra nights?

Yes, add additional nights before or after your trip at checkout, or contact the team for guidance.

Can you help me organise flights & insurance?

They recommend Skyscanner for flight searches and connect travellers with their recommended travel insurance provider.

Do I need a visa?

Citizens from 41 countries, including Australia, UK, USA and most of Europe, can enter visa-free for 30 days via air. Check with the Thai Embassy.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Let them know as soon as possible so the airport transfer can be rearranged. Contact details appear in the welcome materials.

Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets?

Vegetarian options are readily available. Vegan and gluten-free needs face some limitations. Notify the operator beforehand.

Can anyone book Ultimate Thailand?

Where will we be staying?
