How do I book a trip with my East Coast Bus Pass?
You can manage your pass online. Once your pass is issued, you’ll be sent instructions on how to control your pass and book sectors — just enter your origin, destination and date to check availability and lock in your trip.
What amenities can I expect on the bus?
Coaches offer free WiFi*, USB chargers, air-conditioning, reclining leather seats and a restroom. WiFi is limited to services within Telstra coverage areas.
What is my booking number?
It’s the unique number used to manage your pass and book sectors online. You’ll receive it, along with full instructions, once your pass is issued.
How do I get a refund for my East Coast Bus Pass?
Once travel commences, no refund applies. Unused passes receive a refund minus a 10% cancellation fee.
How do I change booked sectors on my pass?
You can manage your pass and change booked sectors online, up to 1 hour before departure. Once your pass is issued, you’ll also be given a phone number to make changes closer to departure.
What do I need to show the driver when I board?
Show your booking number (digital or printed) and have photo ID available if requested.
What happens if I don’t turn up for a booked sector?
No problem — you can simply rebook that sector online without losing any pass days.
Can I transfer my pass to someone else?
No, your East Coast Bus Pass is unique to the person it was issued to and can’t be transferred.
Can I add more time to my pass?
Yes. You can top up your pass with extra travel days online at any time — instructions on how to do this are sent once your pass is issued.
What‘s the difference between a ’Ticket‘ and a ’Pass’?
A ticket covers a single, specific trip at a set time. A pass gives you multiple journeys on the one booking, with the freedom to choose your origin, destination and time whenever you’re ready to travel.
