Kick things off in the iconic Mamanuca Islands, then work your way north through the stunning Yasawas, stopping at backpacker-friendly island resorts along the way. This is a self-guided trip, so you move at your own pace — sleep in, snorkel all afternoon, or jump into activities when you’re keen. With resort accommodation included and at least 7 activities already sorted, we handle the ferries, planning, and logistics so you can just enjoy island life. Snorkel vibrant reefs, cruise between islands, experience traditional Fijian culture, and if you’re lucky, swim with manta rays near Manta Ray Island.

Are there meals included?
Meals are NOT included and are at your own cost throughout the trip. Meals in Fiji: These are all payable to each resort upon arrival. We recommend budgeting approximately $100-$120 AUD per day for food and drink costs.
Where does the tour start and finish?
The 14 Day Fiji Island Hopper tour starts and ends in Smugglers Cove. Includes an Arrival Pack with airport transfer, local Fiji arrival gifts and 1 night’s stay in Smugglers Cove.
Who will I be travelling with?
You’ll be travelling solo, but may cross paths with 18-30-somethings from all over the world — this is a self-guided itinerary with a dedicated customer service team on hand.
Where will I be staying?
Dorm rooms in resort accommodation. Mention if travelling with a mate and they’ll try to room you together; private double upgrades available.
Can I book extra nights?
Yes, add additional nights before or after your trip to your booking at checkout.
What is the currency and do I need cash for the islands?
The currency is the Fijian Dollar. Most resorts prefer cashless payment, but it’s advisable to carry some cash — ATMs are only at Nadi Airport and Port Denarau.
Do I need a visa to travel to Fiji?
In most cases, no, if from a visa-exempt country (check the Fiji Immigration website). You’ll need a passport valid 6+ months beyond travel, a departing flight ticket, and a confirmed address in Fiji (Smugglers Cove works).
Is this a guided tour?
No, it’s a self-guided trip — Awesome Fiji handles accommodation and transfers, and the rest is up to you and your travel buddies.
What happens after I book?
Partner supplier Awesome Fiji Adventures will email to re-confirm your booking and discuss your trip further.
Is airport transfer included on arrival/departure?
Yes, included both ways. Provide flight arrival date, time and flight number at least 14 days before the tour starts; Awesome Fiji Adventures sends detailed arrival information two weeks prior.
