Day 1 | London

Your trip begins bright and early in London. You’ll have gotten to know most of your fellow travellers in the WhatsApp group over the past couple of weeks, and you’ll now get to meet them, and your tour leader, at King’s Cross Station before heading over to catch the Eurostar to Amsterdam, a journey of around 6 hours, arriving in time for your first evening together. If you’re flying in, or aren’t local, we’d highly recommend staying over the night before — just give us a shout and we can organise pre-trip accommodation for you too.

Days 2-4 | Amsterdam

Picture this: a city where every corner feels like a postcard, bridges lead you over serene canals, and bicycles outnumber cars. Welcome to Amsterdam, nestled in the heart of the Netherlands, where culture, fun, and beauty coexist in harmony. Its vibrant streets are your playground, and here the fun never stops — grab a bike or hop into a canal boat, the best and most scenic way to get around, and immerse yourself in art and history at world-class museums like the Van Gogh Museum before toasting to your travels with a pint of Heineken at its place of origin. On your first evening you’ll enjoy a welcome drink on us, the perfect way to break the ice with your fellow travellers, and you’ll also cruise the scenic waterways aboard a canal boat before stepping off to savour delicious mini Dutch pancakes (poffertjes). If you have time to spare, consider visiting the Anne Frank House for a poignant journey into history, renting a bike to pedal through the city’s charming streets, or exploring the art scene at the Rijksmuseum, Moco Museum, or the more unusual WONDR. From here, you’ll take the train to Berlin, a journey of around 6.5 hours.

Days 5-7 | Berlin

When you think of a place that’s as diverse and dynamic as it is rich in history, Berlin should jump to mind. This city offers a mix of the past and the present, making it unlike anywhere else. Berlin isn’t your typical tourist destination; it thrives on tolerance, eccentricity, and artistry, with an incredible food and drink scene and legendary nightlife promising an adventure that’s as eclectic as it is unforgettable. Your included guided walking tour will introduce you to the city’s history, taking in iconic sites like the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Wall, and Checkpoint Charlie. Beyond that, you might dive deeper into the city’s past at the Topography of Terror museum, explore the vibrant street art scene in the alternative neighbourhoods of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, or work your way through Berlin’s diverse culinary landscape, from traditional currywurst to international fusion cuisine. From here, you’ll take the train to Prague, a journey of around 5 hours.

Days 8-9 | Prague

A city that has swept back the Iron Curtain and emerged as a gleaming gem of Central Europe, Prague enchants with its blend of stunning Gothic architecture, picturesque cobblestone streets, and a rich history that immerses you in a fairy-tale setting with every step you take. Czechia is famous for brewing some of the world’s tastiest, and most affordable, pilsners, so be sure to sample a couple during your time here, ideally away from the main square. If beer isn’t your thing, there’s still plenty to enjoy: indulge in traditional chimney cakes, wander the cobbled streets of the Old Town, try some garlic soup, and soak up the lively atmosphere of one of Europe’s most captivating cities. Your included Medieval Tavern show brings history to life with a five-course meal and drinks, alongside belly dancers, wrestlers, fire, and plenty more weird and wonderful delights. If you have extra time, explore the iconic Prague Castle and its grounds for stunning views over the city, uncover the secrets of the Cold War with a Nuclear Bunker and Communism tour, or sample a few more Czech pilsners at an Old Town pub. From here, you’ll take the train to Budapest, a journey of around 7 hours.

Days 10-12 | Budapest

Budapest, the enchanting “Pearl of the Danube,” is a city of striking contrasts, unfolding like a spectacular storybook by day and night. Its stunning skyline is dotted with landmarks such as the regal Buda Castle and the Parliament Building, which casts a striking reflection on the river at sunset, and you’ll have the chance to indulge in rich homemade food, sip craft beers, admire illuminated buildings, and embark on enchanting river tours. Your included visit to the Széchenyi Baths lets you immerse yourself in a luxurious thermal oasis that’s been a local treasure for generations. If you’d like to explore further, dive into Budapest’s quirky markets and shops, join a ruin pub crawl through historic buildings turned bustling bars and restaurants, or marvel at the architecture of the Hungarian Parliament. From here, you’ll take the train to Vienna, a journey of around 3 hours.

Day 13 | Vienna

Vienna, one of Europe’s most visually stunning cities, defies description — it’s one of those places you can wander around for hours, just admiring your surroundings. Expect a city that seamlessly blends imperial grandeur with artistic excellence; while you’re here, indulge in two of its culinary treasures, traditional schnitzel and delectable apple strudel, both unparalleled compared to versions found elsewhere. Underneath its fancy food and art scene, you’ll also find a playful, young side to the Austrian capital. Your included visit to Prater Park, one of the oldest amusement parks in the world, comes with a ride amid vintage charm and classic carnival treats. With extra time, explore the opulent halls and manicured gardens of Schönbrunn Palace, witness the grace of the Spanish Riding School, or take in a classical concert in a city renowned for its musical heritage. This evening, you’ll board the overnight train to Venice, a journey of around 8 hours.

Days 14-16 | Venice

Welcome to Venice, a city that enchants visitors with its maze of canals, historic architecture, and romantic ambience. You’ll check into your room straight after your overnight train and morning arrival, so you can nap, freshen up, or head straight out to explore. Exploring Venice’s labyrinthine streets and picturesque bridges feels like stepping back in time, with historic sites like St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace around every corner; get lost in the charm of the lesser-known neighbourhoods, or hop on a vaporetto to glide along the Grand Canal. You’ll experience the magic of the city on an included traditional gondola ride, and take a day trip to Burano Island, where canals wind past colourful houses and you can savour fresh seafood straight from the lagoon. If you have more time, step into the opulent world of the Doge’s Palace, admire the breathtaking mosaics of St. Mark’s Basilica, or explore Cannaregio, a neighbourhood tucked away from the tourist crowds with an authentic glimpse into local life. From here, you’ll take the train to Rome, a journey of around 4 hours.

Days 17-18 | Rome

All roads may not lead to Rome anymore, but yours certainly does. With its lively atmosphere and captivating fusion of old and new, Rome invites you to explore its enduring allure and live la dolce vita. Rome is more than a city; it’s an open-air museum, an ancient wonder, and a testament to human achievement, and we’d highly recommend joining a walking tour to add context as you stroll through streets that whisper tales of emperors, artists, and visionaries. When your feet need a break, you’ll find no shortage of authentic Italian coffee, ice-cream, and pizza. Your included visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel offers a truly transformative look at some of the world’s most jaw-dropping art. With extra time, step into the ancient world at the Colosseum, wander the charming streets and vibrant aperitivo culture of Trastevere, or dive into the genius of Leonardo da Vinci at a dedicated exhibition. From here, you’ll take the train to Florence, a journey of around 1.5 hours.

Days 19-20 | Florence

Florence is a city that feels like stepping back in time to the heart of the Renaissance. With its dazzling architecture, world-class art, and vibrant culture, this Tuscan gem never fails to charm its visitors. Wander its cobbled streets, marvel at the marble statues that decorate the city, and immerse yourself in the world of Renaissance art, from Michelangelo’s famous David to Brunelleschi’s striking Duomo — Florence may seem small at first glance, but there’s enough here to keep you busy for days. Your included Chianti wine-tasting tour takes you out into the beautiful Tuscan countryside to sample some of the region’s best-loved wines at two separate vineyards, with expert guidance and exquisite pairings along the way. If you have extra time, catch the sunset from the iconic Piazzale Michelangelo viewpoint, wander the Florence Market by day and return in the evening for exquisite cooked dishes from local traders, or stroll along the historic Ponte Vecchio. From here, you’ll take a bus to Nice, a journey of around 6 hours.

Days 21-23 | Nice

Welcome to Nice, where the French Riviera’s charm effortlessly combines with sophistication, and where culinary delights await. Nice is all about embracing the magical essence of the French Riviera, whether you’re exploring its charming streets, basking on golden-sand beaches, or indulging in the finest food and wine — it’s easy to see why this place is so irresistible, both to the rich and to backpackers alike. Your included day trip along the French Riviera takes in sun-kissed coastal towns, stunning Mediterranean views, and the allure of Èze, Monte Carlo, and Antibes, all in one unforgettable journey. With extra time, witness a breathtaking sunset from the iconic Promenade des Anglais, take a day trip to the glamorous destinations of Monaco or Cannes, or laze on the star-studded beaches soaking up the Mediterranean sun. From here, you’ll take the train to Barcelona, with two changes, a journey of around 9.5 hours.

Days 24-26 | Barcelona

Barcelona, the vibrant Catalan capital, is a cultural hub that offers something for everyone, from the whimsical architecture of Antoni Gaudí to the sun-drenched beaches of Barceloneta to the maze-like streets of the Gothic Quarter. Barcelona thrives on culture and creativity, blending history and modernity while boasting plenty of its own character in a way you don’t always find in big cities. Your included tapas cooking class will teach you the secrets of Spanish cuisine at one of Barcelona’s top cooking schools, so you can unleash your inner chef. With extra time, delve into the artistic genius of Picasso at the museum in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, explore the vibrant mosaic patterns of Parc Güell, or head to Carrer de Blai in Poble Sec for pintxos and paella de marisco away from the tourist crowds of La Rambla. From here, you’ll take the train to Paris, a journey of around 6 hours.

Days 27-29 | Paris

Paris, the enchanting “City of Love,” is a place where romance, art, and culinary excellence converge — the pride of France and one of the most beautiful cities in the world needs little introduction. From the irresistible appeal of the Eiffel Tower and Sacré-Cœur’s artistic flair to the dreamlike Seine River, you’ll discover that Paris is not just a destination but a vibrant, energetic experience, and the perfect place to conclude an amazing 28 nights on the road. Your included sunset cruise along the Seine lets you watch the Paris lights dazzle from the water as you pass iconic sites like the Eiffel Tower, all while the sun dips below the horizon. With extra time, indulge in the glittering world of cabaret at the Moulin Rouge, embark on a nightlife adventure through the bars and clubs of the Marais district, or pay tribute to France’s history with a visit to the Arc de Triomphe. On your final day, you’ll board the Eurostar back to London, a journey of around 3.5 hours, arriving in the late afternoon. If you’re travelling on from here, allow plenty of time to reach your connection; if you’re travelling by train within the UK, you’ll be able to use your Interrail pass to get home. If you’d rather stay a night or two in London before heading off, just let us know and we can arrange post-trip accommodation for you.
