Day 1: Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) | Uluru Sunset

Australia Adventure Tour

We depart from Alice Springs at 6:00am for the 4.5-hour drive toward Yulara, with an early lunch along the way.

This afternoon, explore Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), a striking collection of 36 domes that contrast beautifully with Uluru. Enjoy the Walpa Gorge Walk before heading to the Uluru sunset viewing area, where a light snack is served as the colours of the rock shift with the setting sun.

Return to camp for dinner and an evening under the stars.

Day 2: Uluru | Kings Canyon

Start early to experience sunrise at Uluru. Visit culturally significant sites, learn about Anangu rock art, and hear one of the region’s creation stories from your guide.

Enjoy a self-guided full base walk around Uluru before visiting the Cultural Centre, showcasing art from local First Nations peoples. After lunch, travel toward Kings Canyon and settle into an exclusive campsite near Watarrka National Park.

Dinner is served under the outback night sky.

Day 3: Kings Canyon | Uluru + Alice Springs

Kings Canyon UluruThis morning, hike the spectacular Kings Canyon Rim Walk. Your guide will lead you past famous landmarks including the Lost City, Garden of Eden, Amphitheatre, and the canyon’s North and South Walls.

This afternoon we return to Alice Springs, arriving around 6:00pm.

Good to Know | FAQs

The Red Centre tour starts and finishes in Alice Springs. This tour departs daily.

You’ll be travelling with a group from all over the world, and a licensed Red Centre guide available whilst on tour. Group sizes vary but you can generally expect to travel with a group of approximately 10-20 people.

You’ll sleep under the stars in a traditional Aussie flat swag, which is a durable canvas bed roll with a built-in mattress. Simply place your sleeping bag inside and you’re ready to go. Campsites have shared toilets and hot showers. Sleeping outdoors in the outback is safe and comfortable, with dry conditions that minimise insects. A sleeping bag is included, and you may bring a travel pillow if you wish.

Yes of course! With our packages, you are always welcome to book any additional pre or post-tour accommodation. Just get in touch with our friendly team to organise these.

This tour is designed for fit and active travellers. You must be comfortable hiking 5–10km per day over uneven terrain, often in hot conditions. Temperatures can be extreme, with very hot days in summer and cold nights in winter.

Yes.  There is a mandatory Uluru Park Fee of $25 aud per person paid on arrival. Sleeping bags are not included but can be hired at the beginning of the tour for $25 aud per person.

Yes. All special dietary requirements or food allergies must be advised at least 72 hours before the tour departs. Food is purchased in advance and cannot be changed once the tour has started. Due to the remote nature of the trip, meals are simple but filling. We can cater for no pork, no dairy, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free (including coeliac) diets.

Summer (Nov-Mar) it is quite warm at night, around 15-25 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees plus during the day.   Winter (May-Sept) it is a lot colder, usually around 1 degree Celsius at night and 15 to 20 degrees during the day. June and July can get very cold at night, often below zero.    We strongly recommend that you pack accordingly.

Summer (Nov-Mar) average over 30 degrees Celsius. During the peak of summer temperatures can reach 40 degrees Celsius or more. Winter daytime temperatures are pleasant, usually around 20-25 degrees Celsius.

Mobile coverage will be limited and intermittent throughout the tour due to the remote locations. We recommend advising friends and family that you may be out of contact. Guides carry satellite phones for emergency use only.

Yes. Camps have limited power available in shared kitchen and dining areas. We recommend bringing a power bank to keep devices charged between stops.

All camps have shared bathroom facilities with flushing toilets and hot showers, as well as kitchen and dining areas. The Kings Canyon (Watarrka National Park) camp also has a basic swimming pool available during warmer months.

Smoking and alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited inside the tour vehicle under Australian regulations. Alcohol may be consumed at camp in moderation, at the guide’s discretion. Illegal drugs are not permitted under any circumstances. Any passenger found with illegal substances or behaving in a way that threatens the safety of others will be removed from the tour with no refund and will be responsible for their own onward travel.
