Unmissable stay: You’ll spend a night at Geumsunsa Temple, a peaceful Buddhist temple set in the mountains of Seoul. Expect floor mats, temple traditions, and a truly unique insight into Korean culture.

We require this information in advance to secure accommodation and transport. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your return date and have enough blank pages for entry stamps. > WHERE WE GO

Day 1 | Seoul

Your 12-day South Korea adventure begins this afternoon in Seoul with a meet-up and quick briefing before an authentic Taekwondo session. Afterward, enjoy a welcome dinner in Myeongdong with your group, then ride the cable car up Namsan Mountain for spectacular night views, stroll past the “Locks of Love” at N Seoul Tower, and optionally visit the observation deck. Finish with a relaxed walk back through Myeongdong to your accommodation, with the evening free to explore or rest.

Day 2 | Seoul’s Hidden Corners

Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace to see the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony, with the option to wear a hanbok, then spend the day exploring Seoul at your own pace, from Bukchon and Insadong to the Han River or Gangnam. In the evening, enjoy free time to discover Seoul’s food scene in areas like Euljiro or Itaewon.

Day 3 | DMZ Experience, K-Pop Dance & Nightlife

Travel north of Seoul to visit the DMZ (one of the most fortified borders in the world), stopping at Imjingak before exploring Dora Observatory, the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, and if available, hearing from a North Korean defector. Back in Seoul, switch pace with a high-energy K-Pop dance class, then spend the evening enjoying the vibrant food, bars, and nightlife of Hongdae with your group.

Day 4 | Temple Stay

Enjoy a relaxed morning in Seoul today, with time to wander, rest, or explore independently. In the afternoon, travel by private transfer to Geumsunsa Temple for an authentic temple stay experience. Take part in a guided temple tour followed by a nourishing vegetarian dinner. Immerse yourself in traditional temple rituals, including drum and bell ceremonies, Buddhist chanting, and a calming singing bowl meditation.

Day 5 | Sokcho

Begin with a Buddhist dawn chanting ceremony and temple breakfast before travelling by private bus to Sokcho. Explore Seoraksan National Park with hike and cable car options, then cross to Abai Village by traditional gatbae ferry. In the evening, enjoy a guided food market walk, dinner at Sokcho’s famous fish markets or local favourites, and finish with a traditional Korean liquor tasting.

Day 6 | Gyeongju

Depart early this morning and travel along the East Coast to Gyeongju and begin exploring Korea’s ancient capital with a guided cycling tour through the historic centre, or explore the compact old town on foot. In the evening, opt for a traditional Korean set meal in a hanok before enjoying free time or visiting Anapji Pond to see its stunning night-time reflections.

Day 7 | Busan

Make your way to Gyeongju Station this morning and board a high-speed train to Busan. On arrival, hop onto a private bus for a full day of sightseeing. Your first stop is the colourful Gamcheon Culture Village, known for its hillside houses, art installations, and winding alleyways. Continue to Songdo to ride the Marine Cable Car and enjoy sweeping coastal views.
Next, head to BIFF Square in Nampo-dong, where you can sample local street food, including Busan’s famous hotteok pancakes.

Day 8 | Busan

Start the day with a visit to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, dramatically perched on the cliffs overlooking the ocean (one of Korea’s most scenic temples). Afterwards, you can opt to unwind at Spa Land in Centum City, a world-class jjimjilbang offering saunas, jacuzzis, cold rooms, and relaxation spaces.
In the evening, explore Busan’s food scene with your group before watching the Gwangan Bridge light up after dark. You may also choose to join an evening boat cruise or end the night singing your heart out at karaoke.

Day 9 | Busan to Jeju

Enjoy a relaxed morning at Haeundae Beach, with time to swim, unwind, or join an optional Busan cooking class. Spend the afternoon exploring coastal attractions or cultural villages before flying to Jeju Island in the evening and settling in for a relaxed night.

Day 10 | Olle Trail, Waterfalls & Haenyeo Culture

Begin your day with a scenic hike along the Jeju Olle Trail, taking in rugged coastal views and peaceful landscapes. Continue to Jeongbang Waterfall, the only waterfall in Asia that flows directly into the ocean.
Next, hike Seongsan Ilchulbong, a UNESCO World Heritage Site formed by volcanic eruptions over 5,000 years ago. The afternoon is free to explore Seogwipo. Options include local markets, beaches, waterfalls, museums, scenic bridges, or sunset drinks overlooking the coast.

Day 11 | Volcanic Cliffs & Yacht Sailing

Visit the dramatic Jusangjeolli Cliffs this morning, where hexagonal volcanic rock formations meet the sea. Afterwards, take to the water on a yacht sailing tour, enjoying fresh ocean air and views from the coast. Spend the afternoon however you wish, relaxing or exploring more of Jeju’s natural beauty before a farewell Korean BBQ dinner.

Day 12: | Departure & Onward Travel

Your South Korea adventure comes to an end today. Continue exploring Jeju, return to Seoul, or head off to your next destination. Safe travels and farewell.

WHAT TIME CAN I FLY OUT ON THE LAST DAY?

You will need to organise a flight our of Jeju on day 12. The flight from Jeju to Seoul is 1 hour 15 minutes if you want to book an international flight from Seoul on the same day.

CAN YOU CATER FOR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

Yes, we will do our best to cater to all dietary requirements. Just let us know before joining the tour! 

I’VE SEEN THAT WE ARE STAYING IN A TEMPLE - HOW ARE THE FACILITIES?

During the Geumsunsa Templestay experience, you’ll sleep on the floor in traditional Korean style rather than on a bed - an authentic cultural experience to remember! Everything is provided for you and the facilities are kept very clean. 

CAN I BOOK A PRIVATE ROOM ON THIS TOUR?

Yes, our accommodation are hostel dorm rooms, but if you would like to upgrade to a private room you can do so at booking and email us later on. Note: the temple stay cannot be upgraded to a private room.

IS THERE A LUGGAGE LIMIT?

As this tour includes a domestic flight the flight luggage allowance is 15kg for checked luggage and 10kg for hand luggage. If you want to add luggage or are over the weight limit there will be a charge at the airport.
