ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
The New Horizon 2 Day / 2 Night Whitsundays Sailing Adventure is all about seeing the Whitsundays the way they’re meant to be experienced — from the water. This is a social, fun-filled overnight sailing trip that blends iconic island scenery with snorkelling, optional scuba diving, epic sunsets and unforgettable nights anchored beneath the stars.
Departing from Airlie Beach, you’ll sail through the heart of the Whitsunday Islands, stopping at secluded bays, vibrant reef locations and world-famous sights including Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet lookout. Days are spent swimming, snorkelling, paddleboarding and soaking up the tropical scenery, while evenings are all about sunset drinks, freshly prepared meals, music and good company onboard.
With a relaxed party-meets-paradise vibe, New Horizon strikes the perfect balance between adventure and downtime. Whether you’re sliding into the ocean, exploring coral reefs, or sharing stories under the stars, this is a Whitsundays experience that goes well beyond a standard day trip.
ABOUT THE TOUR
New Horizon is a 21-metre traditional sailing schooner designed for travellers who want maximum fun without sacrificing comfort. Hosting up to 32 guests, this boat is purpose-built for social sailing adventures and is one of the few budget vessels in the Whitsundays with full air-conditioning throughout.
Over two days and two nights, you’ll visit multiple snorkelling and dive sites within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, explore Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet, and enjoy exclusive anchorage locations only accessible by boat. With a professional skipper, dive instructor and crew onboard, everything is taken care of so you can relax and enjoy island life.
ABOUT YOU
This trip is ideal for travellers aged 18–35 looking for a social Whitsundays experience with a fun, energetic atmosphere. It’s perfect if you enjoy being on the water, love meeting new people, and want more than just ticking off the sights.
Whether you’re travelling solo, with friends or as a couple, you’ll fit right in. A moderate level of mobility is required for snorkelling, beach walks and getting on and off the boat. If you’re after a quiet luxury cruise or private cabins, this probably isn’t the trip for you — but if you want island adventure, good vibes and unforgettable memories, you’re in the right place.
TRAVEL STYLE
This is a relaxed, social overnight sailing trip with shared cabins and communal spaces. Accommodation is in air-conditioned, shared cabins with comfortable bunks, fresh linen and blankets provided. Bathrooms and hot showers are available onboard.
Days are active and water-focused, with snorkelling, swimming, paddleboarding and optional scuba diving. Evenings are spent anchored in calm bays, enjoying meals, music and sunset views. While the vibe is fun and social, safety and comfort are always prioritised.
Guests are not required to assist with sailing duties — just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
GROUP VIBE
Groups are made up of a mix of international and local travellers, with plenty of solo travellers on every departure. The atmosphere is friendly, upbeat and social, with people bonding quickly over shared adventures on the water.
Some nights are lively with music and drinks, while others are more chilled, watching the stars and listening to the water lap against the hull. Either way, you’ll leave with great memories and new mates from all over the world.
