Choose from 10 to 60 day options and stay at any of the 8 participating East Coast properties included on the accommodation Bed Hopper Pass. The Greyhound Travel Pass gives you further flexibility to travel between these properties as well as stop anywhere in between! 

 

How do I manage Bus Transport?

You can manage your pass and add trips through the online portal and by entering your booking number and PIN code. You can add a 'sector' by entering your origin, destination and date into the availability search and choose the trip that works for you! If there is a seat available on that sector, lock it in!

 

How do I manage booking Accommodation?

The East Coast Bed Hopper passes are 100% self managed. While travelling you can make a booking by contacting the hostel directly by email or phone. Make sure to quote your unique Bed Hopper card number. We recommend minimum 48 hours’ notice.

 

How do I book the Whitsunday Sailing Adventure?

Once you book, you will be issued a 'Open Dated' Sailing Voucher for the Whitsundays. Once you have planned your itinerary, you can call or email ULTIMATE or the boat provider to secure your sailing adventure. Boats depart regularly between 3-5 times per week throughout the year. We recommend booking at least 30 days in advance due to high demand.

 

Once you book:

After you book, you will be issued three passes. 

  1. Travel Pass Booking Number and PIN
  2. Accommodation pass. Confirmation number linked to your email
  3. Whitsunday Sailing 3 Day/2 Night Open Dated voucher

It is recommended that you arrive 30 minutes prior to departure to ensure you can store your luggage and check in on time.  If you’re running late, the coach will not arrive be able to wait for you, and you will forfeit that trip.

 

WHO WILL I BE TRAVELLING WITH?

If you are booked onto a package on your own, you will be travelling solo. If you are looking  for new mates to add to your crew, you can join our Travel Community to look for new travel friends. The East Coast of Australia is the most popular backpacker route in the world and you will have plenty of opportunities to meet people at each leg of your Hop on Hop off journey!

WHAT IF I LOSE MY TICKETS?

Once you book, every ticket and confirmation is issued to you electronically via email. We care about our travel footprint and encourage you to avoid printed copies of your ticket, but you can always come by our Sydney office to collect physical copies on arrival into Australia. You don’t need to present a physical copy of any vouchers while travelling. You will only require your booking numbers and photo ID.

IS TRAVEL INSURANCE REQUIRED?
Yes. It is mandatory that you travel with a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover the likes of cancellation, personal injury and medical expenses. By joining us on tour, you acknowledge that you have obtained a policy and are covered. You are responsible for reading and understanding the details of the policy that you are taking out. You should book your travel insurance at the time of booking your trip.
WHERE CAN I START MY PACKAGE?

There is no specific start or end point of our Flexible Packages. The most popular starting point is Sydney and the most popular ending point is Cairns. You can easily begin your journey in Cairns and end in Sydney. The choice is yours! 

DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?
Yes. It is mandatory that you travel with a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover the likes of cancellation, personal injury and medical expenses. IS FOOD/DRINK INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE?

2 Breakfasts, 1 Lunch and 2 Dinners are included on your Whitsunday 3 Day 2 Night sailing adventure. Food and Drink is not included on any part of these flexible packages.

HOW CAN I PLAN MY ACTIVITIES?
We have a range of extras that you can add on to your East Coast package. Our team can help you book or plan a more specific itinerary at any time throughout your journey.
HOW MUCH SPENDING MONEY SHOULD I BRING?

On our Group Tours, your transport and accommodation along with the meals and activities listed on the itinerary are all included in your tour price. While you are travelling you may wish to participate in additional activities which you will need to budget for. While travelling you may wish to eat and drink out or you may plan to cook and prepare some of your own meals.

As a guide, we recommend you budget an additional $40 - $60AUD per day for spending money. Please note that all travellers are different and you may wish to travel with additional spending money. There are amazing optional activities and food options on offer on the East Coast and if you desire to experience most of them, you may wish to budget for additional spending money.

WHO IS THIS TRIP FOR?
The ULTIMATE Flexi packages are designed for travellers who are looking for complete control over their East Coast Australia Itinerary. You are in control at all times and can choose when you want to leave each destination and begin exploring a new city or stop. If you want to follow the sunny weather, change your bus journey to depart a city sooner. If you are ready to meet new people, book your for a day earlier. If you are having the time of your life where you are and want to stay longer, extend your stay!

  • MAKING YOUR BOOKING

    To make your booking, select your chosen departure date and any optional extras you would like to book. If you are unsure about optional extras or if you need additional accommodation before or after your tour, you can let us know later via email. If you have a travel date in mind but you’re not ready to pay in full, you can secure your spot with a $300 deposit. We’ll send you a booking confirmation as well as important information about your tour.  Your final payment is due 45 days before your tour date and you will be sent an automatic reminder. You can make payments on your tour balance sooner or regularly via our website here.   A non refundable 3.5% booking processing fee applies to each booking.

  • MANAGING YOUR BOOKING

    After you book, you will be issued three passes.
