2025 GROUP LEADER – EAST COAST 

LOCATION: SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

PLEASE NOTE: 

  • We are currently recruiting for our 2025-2026 Peak Travel Season from September 2025 to March 2026. We expect to conduct our first round of Group Interviews in late June and throughout July 2025. Please submit your intrest as soon as possible to be considered for our group intake. 

We’re looking for an East Coast tour leader to join our team!

You will be leading groups of 24+ people on our 3- or 7-week Ultimate East Coast adventures! Your main responsibility is ensuring our customers travel safely during the tour and at the same time add to their experience by providing fun, sharing your knowledge and offering support.

We’re looking for somebody matching the following criteria:

  • Great with people / a team player
  • Confident public speaker
  • Target driven and keen to earn commission
  • Awesome, fun personality
  • Dedicated to giving customers the best experience of their life!
  • The ability to think quickly in difficult situations
  • Native / Fluent English speaker
  • Travel experience in Australia, especially the East Coast
  • Must have full working rights in Australia
  • Can commit for at least 6 months

TRAVEL CONSULTANT – 2025

LOCATION: SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

We are looking for  new Travel Sales Agents to join our Sydney head office team. Reporting to our Sales Manager, your primary role will be to drive sales and book travel arrangements. Key responsibilities will include 

  • Sell travel products and tour packages from two office locations and online.
  • Develop, supervise and grow events and product awareness and success
  • Effectively manage incoming calls and emails from clients and suppliers
  • Organize high quality work & travel information sessions for UltimateOz participants
  • Provide excellent after sales support 
  • Be a confident public speaker and be able to present to up to 20 customers. 
  • Maintain a constant positive communication flow between group leaders & office staff
  • Undergo training in different fields (i.e. sales / marketing / admin / management)

Salary: AUD 70,000 – AUD 78,000 + Superannuation depending on experience

GROUP LEADER 2025 – NEW ZEALAND

LOCATION: AUCKLAND OR NATIONAL

What does the job involve?

Want to work in one of the most beautiful countries on Earth? We’re on the hunt for outgoing, energetic, and responsible legends to lead our Ultimate New Zealand group tours!

Ultimate NZ is a 3-week guided adventure for young travellers exploring both islands of Aotearoa. You’ll take a diverse group of backpackers on the trip of a lifetime — showing off epic sights, sharing local tips, and helping them make lifelong mates!

Group sizes range from 12–30, with travellers from all over the world.

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Fun, confident, and know how to lead a group
  • Clear communicators (our travellers come from everywhere)
  • Adventurous, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused
  • Experienced travellers (must have travelled New Zealand)

As an ULTIMATE Crew member, you may be responsible for Reservations and Support duties, Sales and making the connection between promoting and selling tours and travel products or General Office Administration and tasks.

We are looking for someone with a passion for travel who understands what it takes to provide excellent customer service and drive sales. Candidates with a travel and/or tourism qualifications or reservations/sales support background will be highly regarded. You should be a VERY confident communicator and build rapport with ease. Strong attention to detail, time management and the ability to work independently as well as within a team is essential. Our Reservations Supervisor needs to be an excellent multi-tasker! UltimateOz is our 7-Day introductory tour, created for backpackers new to Australia! You will spend one awesome week with a group of people from all over the world, telling them all about life in Oz, taking them on amazing trips and ensuring they have the time of their lives! Groups are generally between 12 and 45 people with a good mix of nationalities from all over the world.

  • Enthusiastic, know how to entertain and motivate a group
  • Excellent communicators (we get people from all over the world)
  • Adventurous, patient and able to handle sticky situations
  • Previous travel experience (must have travelled the Aussie East Coast)

You will be dealing with customers, staff, suppliers and partners so should be able to relate well to others, delegate responsibilities and negotiate rates.  Key responsibilities include:
