Our Perth Group Adventure includes 6 nights accommodation in hostels located in Perth, Fremantle and Dunsborough. Rooms are 6-10 bed shared dorms, but private room upgrades are available if you prefer some more comfort and privacy.

We’ll help you open your Australian bank account from home so your bank card will be ready to collect when you arrive! You'll need a Tax File Number to legally work in Australia. We’ll take care of the application so you don't have to worry about the paperwork.

ESSENTIAL BOOKING INFORMATION
The Ultimate Perth Adventure starts in Perth on Mondays at 4pm. There are no tour arrangements scheduled for earlier on the first day so you are free to arrive anytime on this day. You will meet your tour leaders and group on Monday at 4.00pm when the itinerary officially begins.
The tour ends in Fremantle on the following Sunday. Extra nights can be selected when you book online and a return transfer back to Perth is available. Read our full booking terms and conditions here.
DAY 1 WELCOME TO PERTH
Welcome to Perth – The city of Light and the capital of Western Australia! Check in to your new home before meeting our legendary group leaders and the rest of your group at 4pm. We’ll introduce you to the office crew, give you a brief overview on what’s going to happen for the week and start preparting you for your time in Australia. Our evening involves a group Welcome Dinner and a visit to the Lively Northbridge – popular for our favourite small bars,modern art galleries.asian eateries, stylish cocktail lounges and casual backpacker bars!
DAY 2 CITY EXPLORING
After a good nights sleep, join our comprehensive info session where we’ll explain everything you need to know about working and travelling around Australia. Our team are all experienced travellers and most have started where you are now. We’ll support you in anything you need to set up live in Australia & answer every questions you may have.
Our day is then spent exploring Perth City by foot. We will pass through Kings Park and all the city sights learning about the History, Architecture, Art and Nightlife that the city has to offer.
DAY 3 PINNACLES SUNSET
This afternoon we drive along the spectacular Indian Ocean Drive to the Nilgen Lookout on our way to Hangover Bay and the Pinnacles desert. Before dinner we experience the thrill of sand boarding at one of Australia’s premier sand boarding destinations, the Lancelin Sand Dunes!
See the spectacular Pinnacles at sunset before we settle down to have dinner under the stars you can also view the stars and planets from our telescope and attach your phone to the telescope’s adaptor to take pictures of the moon
DAY 4 FREMANTLE
Today we make our way to Fremantle – a port city in Western Australia known for its maritime history, Victorian architecture and remnants from Australia’s days as a British penal colony. We will spend the next three nights here enjoying the area and food culture.
DAY 5 ROTTNEST ISLAND
This morning we jump onto a Ferry to visit to Rottnest Island! Blessed with picturesque scenery, dazzling marine life and some of the world’s finest beaches and pristine bays we will cycle around the island exploring the white-sand beaches and secluded coves. A protected nature reserve, Rottnest Island is also home to the quokka, a small wallaby-like marsupial who might be up for a selfie! Tonight we make our way back to Fremantle for our final night celebrating your first weekend in Australia and toasting to your year to come.
DAY 6 FREMANTLE NIGHT LIFE
Today you get to explore all of Fremantle’s hotspots! Freemantle Prison is a must see when in this amazing city. This penal centre housed convicts from the 1850’s-1991 and it remains an in interesting landmark today; noticed as one of the most authentic and intact British convict establishments in Australia In the evening, we check out the nightlife Fremantle has to offer with heaps of rooftop bars and clubs! This dynamic city has something for everyone.
DAY 7 FAREWELL AND ONGOING SUPPORT
Today is a free day to continue exploring Fremantle and prepare for your time in Western Australia. By the end of the first week, you’re well and truly part of the Ultimate Family! No worries! We’ll help you find the perfect job and a place to live!
The Perth Group Adventure is designed for all travellers aged 18-30 to kickstart their time in Australia. Most of our travellers are Working Holiday Makers or Students.
There are various visa options available depending on your reason for travelling to Australia. Download our trip notes or visit our visa information page for information on which visa to apply for.
If you are planning a Working Holiday, you must apply for a 417 or 462 Visa. You can still book UltimateOz on a Tourist Visa, but you will not be eligible for the Gap Year support elements of the package.

Our arrival packages are designed to help you make friends as soon as you arrive in Australia! Most people travelling with ULTIMATE arrive alone and stay in touch with friends from the group for the rest of their trip. You’ll spend your first week having loads of fun and getting to know each other.
Once you've booked your UltimateOz Australia Gap Year tour, we'll email you a confirmation along with some important information about your booking. Closer to your tour departure date we'll be in touch to provide you with all the information you'll need prior to your trip to Australia. When you've booked your flights, just let us know your flight number and we'll take care of the rest!

Yes! Most of our customers are solo travellers. By doing a Group trip, you’ll instantly be part of the Ultimate Family - it’s a great way to meet others and make friends!
Australia or the airline you book your flights with have COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements to enter and travel. It is your responsibility to follow these requirements to ensure your arrival is not impacted and you can join your tour without issue.
For sure! You can book extra nights before the trip starts or after it ends via the Extras section at Checkout. Alternatively you can add them on closer to the time via email with our team.
