This afternoon, explore Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), a striking collection of 36 domes that contrast beautifully with Uluru. Enjoy the Walpa Gorge Walk before heading to the Uluru sunset viewing area, where a light snack is served as the colours of the rock shift with the setting sun.
Return to camp for dinner and an evening under the stars.

You’ll be travelling with a group from all over the world, and a licensed Red Centre guide available whilst on tour. Group sizes vary but you can generally expect to travel with a group of approximately 10-20 people.
You’ll sleep under the stars in a traditional Aussie flat swag, which is a durable canvas bed roll with a built-in mattress. Simply place your sleeping bag inside and you’re ready to go. Campsites have shared toilets and hot showers. Sleeping outdoors in the outback is safe and comfortable, with dry conditions that minimise insects. A sleeping bag is included, and you may bring a travel pillow if you wish.
This tour is designed for fit and active travellers. You must be comfortable hiking 5–10km per day over uneven terrain, often in hot conditions. Temperatures can be extreme, with very hot days in summer and cold nights in winter.

Yes. All special dietary requirements or food allergies must be advised at least 72 hours before the tour departs. Food is purchased in advance and cannot be changed once the tour has started. Due to the remote nature of the trip, meals are simple but filling. We can cater for no pork, no dairy, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free (including coeliac) diets.
Summer (Nov-Mar) it is quite warm at night, around 15-25 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees plus during the day.
Winter (May-Sept) it is a lot colder, usually around 1 degree Celsius at night and 15 to 20 degrees during the day. June and July can get very cold at night, often below zero.
We strongly recommend that you pack accordingly.
Summer (Nov-Mar) average over 30 degrees Celsius. During the peak of summer temperatures can reach 40 degrees Celsius or more. Winter daytime temperatures are pleasant, usually around 20-25 degrees Celsius.
Mobile coverage will be limited and intermittent throughout the tour due to the remote locations. We recommend advising friends and family that you may be out of contact. Guides carry satellite phones for emergency use only.
If your flight arrives before 1:00pm, your guide will meet you at the front of the Desert Gardens Hotel at 1:45pm. A free shuttle operates from the airport to the hotel and no booking is required.
