The most popular time to travel to the Philippines is during the summer months from March to June, when the weather is hot, sunny and perfect for swimming, snorkelling and island hopping. If you prefer slightly cooler temperatures, the best time to visit is between November and February, which still offers great conditions for exploring and beach time.

And when we say hostel, forget the old-school backpacker stereotypes. Our boutique hostels are modern, comfortable and designed for social travel. Expect spacious rooms, comfy beds, air conditioning, modern interiors, personal lights and charging points. Rooms are shared with a maximum of four people, or you can upgrade if you’d prefer your own space.
You’ll also experience one of the most unforgettable nights of the trip — overnight camping on a secluded beach. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and waking up on your own private island is all part of the adventure.

To book, select your chosen departure date and select if you require additional nights. Once you are booked, we will send you a booking confirmation as well as important information about your tour.
Your arrival flight should be booked to Manilla Airport.
Tour ends on Day 10. You can book your exit/onward flight from in El Nido or you can travel with the remaining group back to Puerto Princesa where the trip ends. You should book your flight from Puerto Princesa to any destination in the Philippines on Day 10 of the tour any time after 3pm. Please note: The journey from El Nido to Puerto Princesa takes 6 hours.

The Philippines Adventure tour starts in Manilla and ends in El Nido or Puerto Princesa.
On Day 10, you can choose to fly from El NIdo or take a shuttle back to Puerto Princesa. If you go back to Puerto then you will usually get back at approx 1pm, so you should book your onward flight after 3pm.
WHO WILL I BE TRAVELLING WITH?
Whether you’re travelling solo or with a mate, you’ll meet like-minded travellers from all over the world. Group sizes vary with each tour however we like to keep things fun yet personal so you’ll be travelling with no more than 30 others.
DO I NEED VACCINATIONS?
We recommend making an appointment with your GP to discuss which vaccinations will be needed for your trip.
The Hepatitis A vaccine is strongly recommended. Rabies pre-exposure vaccination may be an option, but not essential.
Malaria isn’t common in the areas we visit, but stock up on bug spray as there are other diseases such as Dengue that are more common.
We recommend organising all vaccines at least 4-6 weeks before your trip to the Philippines.

DO I NEED A VISA?
Most countries will get a free 30 day tourist visa in the Philippines upon arrival. Please check with your local consulate or embassy for the most up-to-date information.
DOES THE TOUR RETURN TO MANILA?
No. The tour finishes in El Nido on Day 10. You can fly directly out of El Nido with AirSWIFT. Alternatively, we include public transport back to Puerto Princesa, which takes approximately 6 hours. If you plan to fly from Puerto Princesa, please ensure your flight departs after 3:00 pm so there’s enough time for check-in.
CAN I UPGRADE TO A PRIVATE ROOM?
Yes. When booking, you can choose either a Double/Twin Share or Single Room upgrade instead of dorm accommodation. If you’ve already booked and would like to upgrade, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll check availability for you.
CAN I BRING A 25KG SUITCASE?
Our domestic flight from Manila to Palawan has a 20kg checked luggage limit. Extra weight can usually be added at the airport, but fees can be expensive. We recommend travelling with a suitcase or backpack weighing under 20kg.
IS DIVING AVAILABLE IN EL NIDO?
Diving trips in El Nido usually depart early in the morning, and there is only one free afternoon included on the tour. To go diving during the trip, you would need to skip an included activity. Many travellers choose to stay in El Nido for a few extra days after the tour to fit in diving.
CAN YOU CATER FOR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
Yes. We can accommodate most dietary requirements. Please let us know before Day 1 so arrangements can be made in advance.
I’VE NEVER CAMPED BEFORE – WHAT’S THE BEACH CAMPING LIKE?
Beach camping is one of the highlights of the trip. You’ll stay on a private beach with a purpose-built shelter for weather protection. Tents include a mattress, pillow and sheet and sleep two people. Waking up on a deserted island, watching the sunrise and heading straight into the ocean is an experience you won’t forget.
DO I NEED HIKING SHOES?
There’s minimal walking involved. Sandals and trainers/running shoes are perfectly suitable for this trip.
WHERE DO WE STAY ON THE FIRST NIGHT?
Your first night is spent at the award-winning Z Hostel in Makati, one of Manila’s most popular social hostels.
