ABOUT THE PACKAGE
ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
The 12-Day Sri Lanka Adventure is a beautifully balanced journey through one of Asia’s most diverse countries — combining wildlife, culture, mountains and beaches into one unforgettable trip. From ancient cities and lush tea country to national parks and laid-back coastal towns, this tour shows you just how much Sri Lanka packs into a small island.
Just as much care has gone into where you stay as what you see. You’ll spend your nights in a mix of comfortable hotels and character-filled guesthouses, often in small mountain towns, near national parks, or just steps from the beach. One of the standout experiences is a unique national park glamping stay, where you’ll sleep under the stars after an unforgettable elephant safari — surrounded by nature, but with proper beds, private bathrooms and even a pool.
From lake-view rooms near Sigiriya to relaxed beachfront accommodation in Mirissa, every stay is designed to add to the journey, not just tick a box.
Note: This is a partner tour. It’s not operated directly by ULTIMATE Travel, but delivered by our trusted local partners in Sri Lanka who specialise in running high-quality small-group adventures. They handle the on-ground logistics, accommodation and guiding, while we make sure the experience meets the standard you expect. You’ll travel with a mix of ULTIMATE travellers and other adventure travellers from around the world, creating a social, international group from day one. Once you book, our local partners will be in touch before departure with all essential trip information, including arrival details and final pre-departure notes.
ABOUT YOU
This trip is designed for travellers aged 18–35 who want a deeper, more authentic Sri Lanka experience. You’ll love this tour if you’re curious, social, and keen for variety — from early starts for safaris and scenic train rides through the hills, to beach sunsets, local food and relaxed nights with the group. Whether you’re travelling solo or with a mate, if you want adventure without roughing it, this trip hits the sweet spot.
TRAVEL STYLE
This is a small-group Sri Lanka tour with a well-paced itinerary that covers a lot without feeling rushed. You’ll have a mix of guided experiences and free time, with transport, accommodation and key activities organised for you throughout. Expect comfortable twin-share rooms, a blend of nature and culture, and enough downtime to actually enjoy each stop.
GROUP VIBE
Groups are made up of travellers from all over the world, and many people join solo. The vibe is friendly, easy-going and social, with plenty of shared moments — safari drives, scenic train journeys, beach days and big group dinners. Some nights are low-key, others turn into long chats and laughs over local food. By the end, it feels less like a tour group and more like a proper travel crew.
WHAT MAKES THIS TRIP DIFFERENT
This isn’t a rushed highlights loop or a resort-hopping holiday. The Sri Lanka Adventure focuses on experiences that connect you to the country — staying close to nature, supporting local operators, and choosing accommodation that reflects the places you’re visiting. With a rare national park glamping stay, carefully selected locations, and a trusted local partner team running the tour on the ground, you get a Sri Lanka experience that feels immersive, comfortable and genuinely memorable from start to finish.
VISA INFORMATION
Travellers from most countries are required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to enter Sri Lanka. This must be arranged before you travel. While limited ETA facilities may be available on arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo), we strongly recommend organising this in advance to avoid delays.
If you are unsure whether you need an ETA, please check the Sri Lankan visa requirements for your nationality using the official government website.
All travellers must also complete a Digital Arrival & Departure Card within three days prior to arrival. Entry and exit requirements can change at short notice, so we recommend checking with the nearest Sri Lankan high commission, embassy, or consulate for the most up-to-date information before travelling.
Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your date of arrival, and you will need to provide proof of onward travel (such as a flight ticket departing Sri Lanka).
You may be asked for the address of your first night in Sri Lanka to obtain a visa, your first night address with be - 185 Poruntota Rd, Negombo 11500, Sri Lanka.
